Bittensor Subnets Advance AI Research and Development Across Multiple Frontiers
A recent wave of Bittensor AI innovations has emerged from the network's decentralized subnets, expanding beyond crypto mining into genomics, drug discovery, market forecasting, and enterprise sales. From July 27 to August 2, teams building on Bittensor published new research, launched a massive training run spanning three continents, and moved real enterprise workloads through decentralized infrastructure for the first time.
The most complex case study in Minos' co-authored paper with OpenAI centers on HelixForge, a GPU-native engine used to generate SN107's hidden evaluation genomes. On matched benchmarks against BamSurgeon, a widely used genomics tool, HelixForge ran 60 times faster and reduced mutation-frequency error by more than half.
