Bittensor Surges as Altcoin Rotation and Whale Accumulation Drive Price Increase
Bittensor (TAO) has surged 4.38% in recent days, driven by a combination of factors including broad altcoin and AI sector rotation, a technical rebound following a correction, and visible whale accumulation.
The altcoin market has shown support for computing-focused tokens like Chainlink, Internet Computer, and Bittensor, with capital rotating from BTC into higher beta altcoins as bitcoin funding costs remain elevated. This sector-wide bid often drives additional performance without specific announcements, and in the last 24 hours, TAO has been grouped with other 'computing' names benefiting from this rotation.
The technical rebound is also a key factor, following a short-term correction that saw TAO drop about 10% to around $287 after failing to break resistance near $329. This correction put TAO back into a prior breakout zone and near its moving average support, with social posts framing the subsequent price action as a successful retest of the $300 region.
Ecosystem growth signals, including subnet launches and increased availability on major retail rails such as Coinbase, Solana, and Robinhood Chain, have also contributed to the price surge. Notable Binance outflows, with transfers of roughly 650 to 800 TAO per transaction to fresh addresses, are often read as mildly bullish by traders.
