Bitwise Closes Dogecoin ETF Amidst Remittix Payment Platform Launch
Bitwise has announced plans to close its Dogecoin ETF (DOGE) on October 14, marking an end to one chapter in DOGE's story. The token itself remains near $0.099, despite the institutional setback.
DOGE still boasts a large, active user base and deep exchange liquidity, which can help fuel price rallies when retail participation returns. However, institutional setbacks like this may weigh on sentiment in the short term.
In contrast to DOGE's retail-driven story, Remittix is developing a payment platform that aims to make digital assets usable in local currency. The project has raised over $32 million from more than 40,000 participants and set a hard cap of $36 million. Its RTX token is scheduled to launch on November 24.
The upgraded contribution dashboard and time-limited BINANCE500 offer add visible activity before the launch. However, the bigger opportunity lies in converting contributors into regular wallet users.
