BlackRock Acquires $240M in BTC and ETH Through Crypto ETFs
BlackRock has acquired approximately $240 million worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum through its cryptocurrency-focused ETF products. According to On-Chain data, the company purchased a total of 2,802,904 BTC and 6,580 ETH. These assets were transferred to wallets linked to BlackRock's spot crypto ETFs traded on the US market.
The purchases included Bitcoin assets being moved to wallets associated with the IBIT product, one of the largest spot ETFs providing institutional access to Bitcoin. Ethereum transfers were sent to wallets linked to the ETHA and staking-enabled ETHB ETFs. These transactions allowed institutional investors to monitor their cryptocurrency market activities through on-chain data.
The latest purchase is seen as a sign that institutional demand for Bitcoin and Ethereum continues, with capital flowing into the market through ETF products closely monitored for its impact on price performance. The size of the assets purchased indicates a growing position of institutional investors in the crypto market.
