BlackRock Dominates Crypto ETF Inflows with $338 Million Bitcoin Surge
BlackRock led net inflows across both Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on August 24. The asset manager's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) saw a $209 million influx, accounting for roughly 62% of the day's total Bitcoin ETF inflow. This adds to an already strong demand period that included a $606 million Bitcoin inflow just days earlier.
The overall spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $338 million in net inflows on August 24, with BlackRock's IBIT being the primary contributor. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs added $116 million, with BlackRock's ETHA accounting for approximately 78% of this total. This marks the sixth straight day of gains for Ether funds.
As of the latest update, total net assets across spot Bitcoin ETFs stood at $79.16 billion. BTC traded above $80,000 at the time of writing. BlackRock's dominance in crypto ETF inflows suggests that it remains the primary entry point for institutional crypto exposure.
