BlackRock Spends Big on Bitcoin Amid Market Rebound
BlackRock's massive buying spree in Bitcoin has resumed since the cryptocurrency's record high in October 2025. The asset manager's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) attracted $208.9 million in net inflows on August 24, accounting for about 62% of the day's total Bitcoin ETF inflows of $337.6 million.
This surge coincided with Bitcoin's rally above $80,000, marking one of the strongest recoveries in the digital asset market this year. The cryptocurrency has gained more than 20% over the past week as institutional demand accelerated and ETF flows surged.
BlackRock's clients bought a total of $1.33 billion worth of Bitcoin last week, with investors adding capital every trading day. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively drew $1.92 billion in the same period, their largest weekly intake since October 2025.
