Asset manager BlackRock has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings over the past 20 days. According to on-chain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, BlackRock bought approximately $1.57 billion worth of ether through spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The majority of these purchases came from the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), which acquired around $1.27 billion worth of ether based on recent inflows.

Additionally, about $296.5 million flowed into the new iShares Staking Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) over the same period. As a result, BlackRock's net ether purchases total approximately $1.57 billion. This accumulation has pushed BlackRock's ether holdings to around 3.56 million ETH as of September 17, valuing them at about $8.69 billion.

The rise in holdings is notable because it is tied to ETF inflows rather than short-term trading. The absence of net outflows despite market volatility suggests that demand for ether exposure remains steady. Whether BlackRock will continue to increase its ether holdings is expected to be confirmed through ongoing ETF fund flows.
