Blockchain.com, NYSE Partner on Tokenized Securities Trading

Share

Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are moving closer to around-the-clock trading of tokenized securities. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 23, outlining a distribution plan that would give Blockchain.com users access to tokenized U.S. exchange-listed equities and ETFs through the NYSE's digital ATS.

The proposed arrangement targets Blockchain.com's global crypto-native customer base, which has supported over $1.1 trillion in crypto transactions since its 2011 launch. Tokenized securities could offer fractional ownership, 24/7 trading, global investor access, and faster onchain settlement.

The MOU also covers bidirectional market-data distribution, with ICE Data Services planning to distribute Blockchain.com's crypto market data and analytics to its subscribing clients. In turn, Blockchain.com will incorporate certain ICE and NYSE exchange data feeds into its app, giving its users real-time stock information.
