Bloom Energy Surges 13% as Oracle Confirms Project Jupiter Commitment
Bloom Energy's stock surged by 13% on Tuesday after Oracle confirmed that its commitment to Project Jupiter remains intact, despite delays in a natural gas pipeline.
The fuel cell specialist is one of the top gainers in the S&P 500 index, with shares reaching $291.72 and approaching the $300 level.
RBC Capital maintained its Outperform rating on Bloom's stock, highlighting the company's expansion of its manufacturing facility in Fremont, California, which roughly doubles its current operational footprint.
Morgan Stanley analyst David Arcaro characterized this move as evidence of robust ongoing demand from customers.
Bloom Energy also received a boost from Ameren Corp's proposal to incorporate 500 megawatts of natural gas fuel cell capacity through 2030 across Missouri operations, which could represent a near-term revenue opportunity for the company.
