BNB Chain Surges Past Ethereum in Tokenized Equities
BNB Chain has taken the lead in tokenized equities, capturing nearly half of the total supply in the space. According to BlockWorks data, BNB Chain's share of $1.3 billion surpasses Ethereum's $800 million, with Solana following at around $550 million. This surge is largely attributed to the growth of bStocks, which provides 24/7 settlement capabilities and composability. The platform has also seen an accumulation of over $500 million in Assets Under Management (AUM) since June, with more than 67 active assets supported by bStocks.
The use of bStocks has not only increased the liquidity of BNB Chain but has also led to significant trading volume, exceeding $19 billion. This indicates that the assets are circulating actively rather than simply sitting on a chain. However, it's worth noting that while BNB Chain leads in tokenized equities, Ethereum still dominates the broader RWA market with a 45% share.
BNB Chain represents $5.7 billion of the $38.4 billion total RWA distributed market share, making up approximately 15%. To expand its lead, BNB Chain may need to diversify into other asset classes such as Treasuries and Funds, which could help spread out demand for BNB Chain and increase capital retention.
