BNB Rides Crypto Rally, Surges 6.3% Amid Strong DeFi Activity
The cryptocurrency market has seen a significant rally over the past few days, with Bitcoin breaking above $72,000 and the total crypto market cap jumping around 9-10% in a day. Binance Coin (BNB) has surged 6.3% in this period, aligning closely with the broader market trends.
The liquidity-driven rally is attributed to various factors, including the US Treasury's decision to double long-term bond buybacks, injecting liquidity into markets, and stronger net inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs. Additionally, incremental U.S. regulatory clarity signals have contributed to the positive sentiment.
BNB Chain activity has also played a significant role in BNB's price participation. The chain saw a big spike in DeFi and DEX activity over the past 24 hours, with gas and value capture token BNB strongly represented. This is reflected in the data, which shows that DeFi TVL jumped around 9% to above $83 billion, while DEX spot volume broke above $10 billion for the first time since early June.
The positive narrative surrounding BNB Chain's role in tokenization and real-world assets (RWAs) has also contributed to the momentum. Binance founder CZ recently emphasized the potential of tokenization across multiple chains, citing BNB Chain RWA statistics as an example. The chain currently hosts around 61.7% of assets on Franklin Templeton's Benji platform, representing about $1.5 billion in tokenized assets.
