Brazil's Tokenization Market Booms with $2 Billion Credit Plan
Brazil's tokenization push is gaining momentum with a $2 billion credit plan, as Liqi Digital Assets and XDC Network renew their partnership for another two years. The companies have already exceeded their initial target of $500 million, reaching it nine months ahead of schedule.
The renewed agreement consists of the original $500 million, which was completed in 15 months, alongside a further $1.5 billion in planned issuance through 2028. Liqi's CEO and co-founder, Daniel Coquieri, stated that the company tripled its commitment due to increased demand from institutional investors.
The partnership between Liqi and XDC aims to expand into additional forms of structured credit, trade finance, and receivables generated by larger originators. Tokenized credit is a growing part of the RWA market, with over $7.82 billion in distributed tokenized credit and another $37.73 billion in represented credit assets tracked by RWA.xyz.
