Brock Pierce, co-founder of stablecoin Tether and a prominent figure in the crypto industry, has been accused of associating with a pro-Putin cult known as AllatRa. Despite knowledge of the group's nefarious activities, including disinformation campaigns and ties to Russian propaganda, Pierce participated in a lengthy interview with Valeria Smian, head of communications at AllatRa.

The interview, which took place in January 2026, was six months after Ukrainian officials had seized crypto assets tied to the cult. Documents revealed that the group was utilizing USDT and TRX to move funds and were involved in financing actions aimed at violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order.

Pierce's association with AllatRa is not his first foray into the complex world of Russia, Ukraine, and their respective politics. He has been shuttling between America, Ukraine, and Russia since 2012, although the reasons behind these visits remain unclear.
