BTC Blasts Past $84K as Rate Hike Trumps Regulation
Bitcoin's price surged above $84,000 on Monday morning, up around +5% in just two days.
This comes after the Senate blocked the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve delivered its first rate hike since July 2023.
Floplabs CEO Arthur Hayes argues that this sequence proves crypto regulation was never the catalyst for Bitcoin's growth, saying 'we didn't need some nonsense piece of crypto regulation.'
Hayes believes that a rate hike puts more dollars in the hands of wealthy investors who then plow that liquidity into financial assets.
