Buterin Outlines Ambitious Ethereum Overhaul for 2030

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has proposed an ambitious overhaul of the Ethereum network by 2030. His vision involves moving a significant share of computation off-chain and using short cryptographic proofs to verify that the work was done correctly.

The current system requires many participants to repeat the same computations, which limits scalability and is inefficient. Buterin believes modern cryptographic proofs can solve this problem, allowing one computer to perform calculations and produce a short mathematical proof showing that the work was completed correctly.

This would enable different computers to work on different tasks at the same time while still checking each other's results. The new architecture would also prioritize user privacy, hiding requests for wallet balances and payment details from external servers.
