Ethereum Surpasses Bitcoin in Institutional Attraction
Ethereum's ETH/BTC ratio has shifted significantly in recent months. The ratio hit 0.042, up from its May low of 0.027. This change reflects a divergence in institutional preference between Bitcoin and Ethereum.
US spot Ethereum ETFs have captured $324 million in net inflows through mid-September, outpacing the $307 million attracted by Bitcoin ETFs during that period. In August, Ethereum ETFs saw $1.75 billion in net inflows, and since June 29, Ethereum has risen 24% while Bitcoin has increased 10%.
Institutional accumulation remains aggressive, with a single whale buying 50,537 ETH worth $162 million in one 24-hour window. This massive purchase accounts for 0.042% of the total Ethereum supply and follows a period of relative price consolidation.
