Bybit and Franklin Templeton Expand Tokenized Investment Access with Institutional Program
Bybit and Franklin Templeton have formed a strategic collaboration to expand access to tokenized investment products. The partnership's first initiative is an institutional collateral program that allows eligible clients to use tokenized fund shares as off-exchange collateral for trading on Bybit.
The program uses Franklin Templeton's Benji Technology Platform, which issues tokenized money market fund shares. These shares can be pledged through ByCustody, with the underlying assets remaining in off-exchange custody while their value is mirrored in Bybit's trading environment.
The collaboration also plans to extend its reach to wallet-based investors through a tokenized wealth product on Bybit and the Mantle chain, providing them access to Franklin Templeton investment strategies. The institutional collateral program was launched with Binance in February 2026, making Bybit the second major exchange to accept BENJI tokens as collateral.
