Cake Wallet Team Forks Signal to Enable Instant Bitcoin Payments

The team behind Cake Wallet has developed Radar Chat, a fork of Signal that enables users to send and receive Bitcoin instantly in a non-custodial manner.

The project was announced on July 7, with the new Radar Chat, Inc. team raising an undisclosed amount from angel investors and venture capital fund Ego Death Capital.

Radar Chat relies on Signal's existing user base, allowing users to download and use it as they would the regular Signal app, with the added feature of sending and receiving Bitcoin.
