Cardano Foundation CTO Giorgio Zinetti Steps Down Amid Shifts in Governance

Crypto news today brings word that Giorgio Zinetti will leave his position as Chief Technology Officer at the Cardano Foundation on August 31. He has been with the company for over two and a half years, focusing on scaling enterprise adoption of the foundation's projects.

Zinetti announced his departure on X, explaining he'll take some time off after welcoming his new daughter in September before embarking on 'a new adventure'. The Cardano Foundation confirmed his exit in its own statement on X.

No replacement has been named for Zinetti's role. Instead, the foundation will rely on existing technical and business development staff to maintain focus on enterprise adoption, as stated in their roadmap.
