Cardano Foundation Teams Up with UCLA for Blockchain Education Initiative
The Cardano Foundation has partnered with UCLA Anderson School of Management's Venture Accelerator to promote blockchain education. The agreement will provide five startup fellowships, a founder showcase sponsorship, and integration of Cardano Academy content into a university course.
Five early-stage companies selected for the UCLA Accelerate program will receive Cardano-sponsored fellowships. This support includes funding, mentorship, and access to people in the Cardano ecosystem.
Nadia Mannell, director for commercialisation and ecosystem growth at the Cardano Foundation, said that this partnership will allow the foundation to work with founders through its Academy and Venture Hub as they develop companies on Cardano. The UCLA announcement identifies the hub as one route for founder engagement, although it does not assign the earlier commitment of 2 million $ADA to the five fellowships.
Beginning in 2027, Cardano Academy content will be incorporated into a Blockchain Cryptocurrency Applications in Business and Finance course taught by Alex Nascimento. The course material will be used in practical exercises and project-based work.
