Cardano Gains Attention from Web3 Founder Lucky Amid Governance and Scalability Efforts
Cardano (ADA) is gaining attention as a long-term altcoin to watch due to its community-led governance, scalability roadmap, and expanding DeFi ecosystem.
Lucky, a Web3 founder who has supported Bitcoin since 2015, cited Cardano as an altcoin he is watching, along with Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink, Monero, Sui, and Bittensor. He focused on development progress that could affect the network's long-term competitiveness rather than short-term price moves.
The changes in Cardano's governance are one reason Lucky continues to watch Cardano. After the Chang hard fork, Cardano is shifting to expand the community's role in network decision-making, allowing participants to have more influence in decisions on protocol upgrades, treasury spending, and the network's future direction.
Cardano is also improving its scalability by increasing throughput with Ouroboros Leios for Layer 1 scaling and Hydra as a Layer 2 solution. The former aims to boost transaction throughput by increasing parallel processing of network activity, while the latter enables fast and low-cost transaction processing.
