Cardano Joins x402 Codebase, Enabling Seamless Payments with Coinbase
Cardano has successfully integrated its native support into Coinbase's Open Payment Protocol (x402), joining major tech industry names in this initiative. This integration brings new functionality to Cardano-based applications and AI agents, enabling them to make and receive payments directly over the internet.
The x402 Foundation, which includes founding member Coinbase and other notable companies such as Amazon Web Services, American Express, Circle, Google, Mastercard, Ripple, Shopify, Solana Foundation, Stellar Development Foundation (SDF), Stripe, and Visa, has now welcomed Cardano into its codebase. The integration was contributed by the Cardano Foundation engineers.
This native support allows for seamless payments between custom-made agentic economies using Cardano's ADA token, eliminating the need for third-party implementations. According to TradingView data, the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) is hovering between -0.10 and 0.20 on miscellaneous time-frames, indicating a reduction in balances by crypto whales.
Cardano's technical analysis shows it is currently trading at $0.2062, just below its green-label Double EMA trend-line. The Stochastic Relative Strength Index (StochRSI) has shifted to low figures between 12 and 14, indicating that Cardano is technically undervalued against the current market conditions.
