Cardano Price Jumps 30%: X402 Integration Boosts ADA
Cardano's ADA has seen a significant surge in price over the past week, rising by approximately 30% to around $0.26. This increase is attributed to several factors, including the integration of Cardano with the x402 software kit, which enables developers to create applications and AI agents that pay for online services using ADA or native tokens.
The addition of Cardano to the x402 software kit has given rise to a new machine payments use case for the network. However, it's essential to note that this technology is still in its early stages, with only pre-production transactions having been completed so far, and none on the mainnet at commercial scale.
The increase in Cardano's adoption and usage is also contributing to the price rally. According to CardanoScope, network activity has strengthened, with 33,919 daily transactions recorded on September 21, a 71% increase from the weekly low of 19,844. The number of active addresses peaked at 16,388, and Plutus script calls reached 11,891.
The broader altcoin market is also playing a role in the price surge, with Bitcoin rising above $87,000 and other major cryptocurrencies seeing gains between 5% and 10%. However, it's crucial to remember that Cardano news is coming against a backdrop of strong market conditions.
