Cardano Soars 9% Following Successful Van Rossem Hard Fork

Cardano (ADA) has experienced a significant price surge of 9.25% in 24 hours, reaching $0.1879. This rise is largely attributed to the successful Van Rossem hard fork on July 18th, which marked the transition into the Dijkstra development era.

The upgrade to Protocol Version 11 enhanced Plutus smart contract performance, ledger consistency, and node security, while introducing Ouroboros Leios for greater scalability. The Dijkstra era aims to improve network utility by attracting more developers and complex decentralized applications (dApps).

Active on-chain governance voting is also underway, with a proposal to increase the treasury spending limit. This demonstrates Cardano's maturing, utility-driven network, which is attracting capital.

The price gain contrasts sharply with Bitcoin's flat performance, indicating targeted accumulation and a favourable altcoin environment. ADA faces immediate resistance at the Fibonacci 23.6% level ($0.18864) and the recent swing high of $0.19932.
