Cardano Team Warns Users About YouTube Scam Amid Cryptocurrency Giveaway

Input Output Group (IOG), the development team behind Cardano's blockchain platform, has issued a warning to its users to avoid interacting with its YouTube channel. The reason for this caution is that a suspicious AI-manipulated video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson was livestreamed on the channel.

The video appeared to be part of a town hall session for Project Catalyst, a decentralized community innovation fund and grant program. It aired for nearly two hours and featured Hoskinson promoting a cryptocurrency giveaway with a QR code that promised viewers they would 'double their wealth'.

IOG has advised users not to click on links, send funds or share personal information in response to any content on the channel until further notice.
