Cardano's ADA Faces Critical Test Around $0.20 Amidst Sharp Imbalance
Cardano's ADA is facing a critical test around the $0.20 price level as it struggles to maintain its value amidst a sharp imbalance in leveraged liquidations.
The last 24 hours saw a total of $1.17 million in liquidations, with long positions accounting for $1.16 million and shorts coming in at just $11,410.
This creates a staggering 10,166% imbalance between long and short liquidations, highlighting the heavily affected side of the derivatives market, this time, the longs, which could lead to increased volatility if ADA breaks decisively from its current range.
ADA is down 3.66% in the last 24 hours to $0.20 as the crypto market heads lower at the weekend following Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish remarks at the Jackson Hole event, which have raised September rate hike odds to 42% from 35% a day earlier.
The Cardano team is working towards the Dijkstra era, with upcoming node releases expected to unlock early Dijkstra functionality for testing. Node 11.1 is currently in pre-release, while Node 11.2 is expected within the next 2-3 weeks and will include the Plutus V4 ledger interface.
