Cathie Wood Sees Quantum Threats to Bitcoin as Opportunity for Growth

ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood recently discussed the potential threats to Bitcoin's cryptographic systems posed by quantum computers and how artificial intelligence could be used to defend against them. Speaking on ARK Invest's FYI podcast, she noted that recent research in AI has accelerated quantum computing advancements.

The discussion touched upon the possibility of unexpected movements in Bitcoin wallets attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto. Wood and others acknowledged that such movements could have various causes, including the owner switching to more secure signature systems or attackers gaining access to private keys.

The participants also noted that new signature schemes are being tested for Bitcoin and protocol solutions are being developed for a future transition to quantum-resistant systems.
