Cboe and S&P Extend SPX Options Licensing Agreement, Explore Tokenized Products
Cboe Global Markets and S&P Dow Jones Indices have extended their exclusive licensing agreement for trading options on the S&P 500 index (SPX) by 25 years, until 2051.
The two companies also mentioned the possibility of collaborating on new products, including tokenized option contracts. Tokenization is a process where assets or contractual rights are represented as tokens on a blockchain.
This marks the 40th year of their partnership in providing SPX options to investors.
