Goldman Sachs Expands $105B Treasury Fund Access via Avalanche Blockchain

Goldman Sachs has taken another step into blockchain technology by opening its $105 billion Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund to qualified U.S. firms through Lynq, a private settlement network built on the Avalanche blockchain.

The arrangement uses Lynq as an alternative access and settlement channel for an existing institutional share class, rather than creating a tokenized version of the fund.

This measured approach represents a cautious adoption of blockchain technology within traditional asset management, where distributed-ledger technology is being introduced alongside existing financial structures rather than replacing them.
