Chainflip Resets Affected Liquidity Providers' Balances After $736,442.17 Exploit
Chainflip, a cross-chain swap protocol, has announced plans to reset affected liquidity providers' live TRON USDT balances to zero following a $736,442.17 exploit on September 12.
The attack involved six withdrawals being paid twice due to a malformed TRON memo, causing the attacker to drain funds from Chainflip's TRON vault.
Chainflip has promised to make affected providers whole by recording each provider's pre-migration balance separately on-chain and preserving the amount owed. However, repayment remains pending with no disclosed funding source or payout schedule.
