Chainlink's CCIP Gains Traction with Institutional Migrations
Chainlink's LINK token surged 4.61% in the last 9 hours due to institutional adoption and ETF inflows, according to CoinMarketCap.
The main catalyst was the adoption of Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) by institutions. Wyoming state fully migrated its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) from LayerZero to CCIP on August 18, citing security concerns with LayerZero. This move caused LINK to rise over 3% to $9.70.
Wyoming's FRNT now runs across eight public chains via CCIP and is seen as a 'blueprint' for other state entities and asset managers, strengthening the perception that Chainlink is the default institutional middleware for regulated stablecoins and tokenized assets.
