Chartered Bank Sees $14K Ethereum Price Target If ETF Approval Is Secured
Standard Chartered analysts are predicting a significant price increase for Ethereum (ETH) in the coming years. They believe that if spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) get approval, ETH could reach $14,000 by 2025.
In a research note, Geoffrey Kendrick, head of forex and crypto research at Standard Chartered, wrote that 'Ethereum is currently between two important events that we see driving price upside.' These events include the recent Dencun upgrade to the Ethereum network, which is expected to make transaction fees on the blockchain much cheaper.
The analysts also expect U.S. regulatory approval of ETH ETFs by May, which will be a major catalyst for Ethereum's price. Several high-profile fund managers have already filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch Ethereum ETFs.
