A large sell order from a Chinese crypto whale has sent shockwaves through the Zcash market. Lee Goon Wang, a prominent investor, placed a limit sell order for 15,000 ZEC on Hyperliquid, worth approximately $23 million.

The sale occurred during a volatile session for Zcash, which had climbed to $1,600 earlier in the day before sliding to around $1,520 at the time of the transaction. The size of the whale's order has raised questions among investors about whether additional selling pressure from large wallets could follow.

Zcash has been one of the standout performers of 2026, gaining approximately 2,500% over the past 12 months due in part to renewed interest in privacy-focused cryptocurrencies.
