Circle, Coinbase Stocks Gain Amid Bitcoin Rally as Analysts Eye Upside Potential
Circle Internet Group (CRCL) and Coinbase Inc. (COIN), two prominent crypto-infrastructure companies, have been gaining attention lately due to their unique business models and exposure to the rising cryptocurrency market.
The recent rally in Bitcoin prices has sparked renewed interest in these stocks, with analysts pointing to various catalysts driving the sector's growth. According to data from Koyfin, the 12-month average price target on CRCL stock is $104.28, implying an upside potential of more than 10% from its last close.
In contrast, Coinbase shares have a 12-month average price target of $203.60, indicating about 1% upside from its last closing price. This disparity in growth expectations may be due to Circle's primary focus on USDC adoption and stablecoin infrastructure, whereas Coinbase has more exposure to crypto trading activity through its centralized exchange.
Circle recently announced a $100 million equity investment from Binance, which will accelerate the promotion and integration of USDC across emerging markets. This strategic partnership is expected to expand access to USDC for hundreds of millions of people worldwide.
