Circle Unveils AI-Powered Coding Agent for Onchain App Development
Circle has launched Arc Studio, an AI-powered coding agent that enables developers to build full-stack onchain applications using natural language prompts. The software generates front-end user interface code, back-end server code, test scripts, and smart contracts, allowing developers to quickly turn their ideas into functional apps.
Arc Studio is specifically designed for Circle's Arc Layer 1 network and its developer-focused ecosystem. When a user provides a prompt, the agent combines the necessary components and makes the resulting code available for review and further development.
The framework works with various Circle products, including Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, Gateway, Contracts, and Wallets, and compiles applications for multiple blockchain networks such as Arc, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Monad, OP Mainnet, Polygon, and Unichain. Studio can also write Solidity smart contracts to serve decentralized applications (dApps) and exposes contract read and write functions on the Studio interface.
Circle warns that the AI-generated code may contain bugs or vulnerabilities and emphasizes the need for developers to review and test it thoroughly before deployment.
