Clarity Act Delay May Not Spark Market Sell-Off After All

Share

A delay in the US Senate's vote on the Clarity Act may not have as much of an impact on the cryptocurrency market as investors fear, according to a popular crypto-market commentator.

The Senate is currently focused on Russian sanctions and federal nominations, leaving the crypto-market-structure legislation unlikely to reach a vote before next week.

Alex Tapscott suggested that passage of the bill has not yet been meaningfully priced into financial markets, which could reduce the market's reaction if it passes.

Prediction markets currently place the Clarity Act's odds of becoming law at roughly 47% to 50%, with some market participants calling for a correction if it fails.
