CME Group Expands Crypto Offerings with Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures Launch
CME Group is set to launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on October 19, pending regulatory review. This will bring the exchange's total single-asset crypto futures products to ten and eleven.
The new contracts will come in standard and micro sizes, allowing traders to choose between larger or smaller exposure to the underlying assets. For example, Bitcoin Cash futures will represent 250 BCH, while the micro version will cover 25 BCH.
CME Group has seen significant demand for its crypto products, with its 2026 altcoin futures producing over $1 billion in notional value this year. The exchange's crypto lineup currently includes Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche, and Sui.
CME's global head of cryptocurrency products, Giovanni Vicioso, stated that market participants need broader, regulated tools to manage price risk as crypto markets mature. He noted that the contracts offer capital efficiency and exposure to 'key crypto networks' in a round-the-clock, regulated venue.
