Coinbase has deepened its presence in decentralized finance (DeFi) by integrating Chainlink's DataLink service, allowing institutional-grade exchange data to be published on-chain for the first time.

The integration enables access to order book data, spot prices, and futures data across crypto and traditional asset classes, aiming to improve pricing accuracy, transparency, and risk management in DeFi markets.

Coinbase's stock rose nearly 4% in morning trade, but remains down by over 18% year-to-date. The company has made two moves in less than a week to deepen its presence in DeFi, following the launch of perpetual futures trading on its exchange last week.
