Coinbase Brings US Stock Trading to UK Users 24/5

Coinbase has launched 24/5 US stock trading for eligible UK users, giving them access to nearly 4,000 American stocks directly through its app.

The feature allows users to buy and sell shares with zero-commission trades and supports fractional share purchases from £1 (around $1.35).

Coinbase's Regional Managing Director for the UK and Europe, Keith Grose, said the launch is part of a broader effort to build what the company calls an 'everything exchange', a single platform combining crypto, stocks, stablecoins, savings accounts, and borrowing products.

Grose pointed to survey data showing that UK retail investors participate in stock markets at lower rates than their US counterparts, and flagged strong demand for top American equities, particularly in the artificial intelligence sector.
