Coinbase Expands Business Payment Service with AI Agent Support

Coinbase has expanded its business payment service to include support for AI agent payments and USDT transactions.

The integration of x402, an open standard, allows AI agents to initiate and complete payments through existing checkout systems.

This means that when an AI agent pays, the funds are settled instantly in USDC, Coinbase's native stablecoin.

Coinbase Business also now supports payments in $USDT, with amounts automatically converted into $USDC and deposited into the merchant's account.
