Coinbase Files for CFTC Approval of Stock Perpetual Futures Contracts

Share

Coinbase Derivatives has filed with the CFTC to list cash-settled US single-stock perpetuals, allowing customers to trade futures contracts tied to individual U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs.

The proposed contracts would settle in dollars rather than shares, with no fixed expiration, and trade from 8 p.m. ET Sunday through 5 p.m. ET Friday.

Coinbase plans to list roughly 50 to 60 contracts, including Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, and Nvidia, subject to CFTC approval and any other necessary regulatory clearances.
