The current price reflects the market’s odds, with traders able to buy "Yes" if they believe the event will happen or "No" if they think it will not.
To participate, users need a Coinbase account and must complete onboarding with Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), which includes identity verification and basic income/net worth details. Funds can be transferred from the main Coinbase account to the derivatives account for trading purposes.
The market operates under strict rules to ensure fairness and transparency. Trading is prohibited for certain individuals, including current players, coaches, staff, paid employees of the league, owners of teams, and persons with material, non-public information. Settlement is based on an independent, regulated exchange determining the result using a stated "source of truth."
