Coinbase Seeks Approval for Perpetual Stock Futures in the US

Share

Coinbase has filed an application with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to launch perpetual stock futures in the U.S. These contracts will allow investors to access stock prices without purchasing actual shares and enable trading 24/5.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Coinbase initially plans to offer around 50-60 contracts, including those for Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, and Nvidia. Unlike traditional futures, these instruments have no expiration date.
