Coinbase Seeks CFTC Approval for US Single-Stock Perpetual Futures
Coinbase has filed with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to list single-stock perpetual futures in the United States, seeking regulatory approval for a product that would provide 24/5 exposure to individual equities.
The proposed contracts would allow U.S. traders to gain exposure to individual stocks through perpetual futures rather than directly owning the underlying shares.
Coinbase said the proposed stock contracts would build on its existing U.S. perpetual futures market and extend the structure to individual equities, which are already available outside the US for eligible non-US traders since March 2026.
