Coinbase Seeks Regulator Approval for Stock Futures

Share

Coinbase has filed a proposal with U.S. regulators to approve perpetual futures tied to more than 50 individual stocks, including Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla.

The exchange aims to expand its derivatives business beyond crypto and broad equity indexes, offering 24/5 exposure that could boost adoption and trading volume.

Coinbase could introduce the products later this year if regulators approve its plans, allowing traders to speculate on stock prices without owning the underlying shares.
