Coinbase stock fell by 6% to $180 as regulatory uncertainty surrounding the CLARITY Act weighed on markets. The Senate is set to vote on the bill, which aims to establish a clearer federal framework for digital assets and reduce uncertainty over how parts of the crypto industry are regulated.

Bitcoin dropped by 2.5% to $76,201.40, exacerbating declines in Coinbase stock. Strategy's equity slid by 5%, amplified by its large Bitcoin holdings, while MARA Holdings slipped by 1%. The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF is down 3% to $43.19.

The CLARITY Act needs 60 Senate votes to advance and would provide a more durable framework for U.S. crypto businesses, potentially supporting greater institutional participation and giving companies like Coinbase more certainty as they develop products across trading, custody, and other services.

However, investors who own Coinbase stock, Strategy stock, or MARA Holdings should consider keeping their share-position sizes moderate due to the volatility of crypto-linked stocks.
