Coinbase Teams Up with Moov to Bolster Stablecoin Payments for Community Banks
Coinbase and fintech firm Moov have partnered to improve stablecoin capabilities for community banks ahead of the US Senate's vote on the CLARITY Act.
The collaboration aims to enhance acceptance, settlement, and real-time funding features for these institutions. According to Wade Arnold, co-founder and CEO of Moov, 'Business customers of community institutions are already being asked to accept stablecoins, and today they go outside their institution to do it.'
Moov will connect payments capabilities to the banks, while Coinbase provides the stablecoin payments infrastructure. Ryan VanGrack, vice chair and head of corporate affairs at Coinbase, commented that 'community banks and credit unions have witnessed their customers use digital assets for years'.
The partnership indicates an effort to bridge the gap between community banking and digital currencies, providing users with payment options as technology continues to evolve.
