Coincheck Delists FLR and DAI Amid Liquidity Decline
Coincheck, a Japanese crypto asset exchange, announced on September 28 that it will discontinue handling of two tokens - Flare (FLR) and Dai (DAI) - effective November 2. The primary driver behind this decision is declining market liquidity, with DAI also affected by reduced project continuity at the issuer.
The delisting schedule differs by token. For DAI, exchange trading and external deposits will halt at 2:00 p.m. on October 26, followed by a halt on external transfers at 2:00 p.m. on November 2. For FLR, transfers will stop at 2:00 p.m. on November 2.
Coincheck cited declining market liquidity for FLR and declined liquidity combined with reduced project continuity for DAI as the reason for delisting these tokens. The company said it continuously monitors disclosure information, development status, and liquidity for all listed tokens, and determined that these two no longer met its standards.
