CoinMarketCap Powers Atomic Wallet with Live Price Data

Share

Atomic Wallet, a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, has named CoinMarketCap as its sole price data source. This means that every time an Atomic Wallet user checks the value of their holdings, the price they see comes directly from CoinMarketCap's API.

The integration is confirmed in Atomic Wallet's own support documentation, which states: 'We use a third-party service to get the coin prices, CoinMarketCap, to be exact. We use an asset's ticker to get its price from CoinMarketCap.'

CoinMarketCap's API provides live cryptocurrency prices for over 1,000 supported assets via ticker-based lookups. This data is used across Atomic Wallet's desktop and mobile apps to display real-time portfolio values in USD and over 60 fiat currencies.

Atomic Wallet has been downloaded over 10 million times globally and supports atomic swaps, staking, and a built-in exchange powered by third-party providers.
