Column, a company behind a banking and payment platform, has rolled out instant 24/7 conversion of its stablecoins USDC and USDT to US dollars across its banking and payment rails.

The new infrastructure connects USDC ($0.9998) and USDT ($0.9996) directly with the US dollar, allowing users to convert digital dollars to fiat currency, and vice versa, around the clock.

According to Column's CEO William Hockey, this means businesses can send and receive USDC and USDT on supported blockchains or route funds using payment rails including ACH, FedNow, RTP, and SWIFT.

Column claims that its stablecoin service allows for seamless conversion between digital dollars and fiat currency without the need for intermediaries. Stablecoins are also fully interoperable with the U.S. dollar and international payment rails, making it possible to move funds across different networks, including Solana and Ethereum.
